What a beautiful day. The sun is shining in through the window and the world looks bright and cheerful. It will be hot later but for right now it is cool enough to have a cup of coffee outside. I saw this image on lovethispic this morning and knew I had to use it. I actually am happy to be me. I know I have my faults but they are my faults. Nobody is 100% perfect. It would be boring if they were. I am a product of my environment and my past. I don't hurt people, I try to be kind to everyone, and I don't break any laws. I am happy in my life. I have a wonderful husband, terrific children, son-in-laws and the best grand-children I could ask for. What about you. Do you like being you? Here's hoping everyone is happy, healthy, and safe.

Honestly, i wasn’t happy to be me when i was younger. I was full of insecurities. Physical appearance was something that mattered to me. I was mostly judged because of how i look. But when i got older, i realized i don’t have to please everybody with my looks. I just have to love me and accept me. It was only then that i became happy being me.

@HazySue I like the sign and Minnie the Mouse on it. I am also an honest straightforward person and try to be decent but there are people around me that do not know what a decent person is. They are so miserable that they want to make others as miserable as they are and do not want to leave them alone.

@HazySue I understand what you are saying but one lived directly above me and could not get away from him. Where I live now the two live here. I am trying to be decent but it is very hard with someone trying to destroy my life and two others causing me trouble too.

To be honest at some point i was struggling. I hated myself. I was going through depression. Then, I sought help. Took me years to recover fully. I feel like I'm reborn now. And, yes I'm happy to be me

I think that many of us go through a rough patch. The important thing is you pulled yourself out of it and now you are able to appreciate yourself.

Why be miserable when you can be positive. Some people may say you are looking through rose colored glasses but I prefer it to looking at what can be bad.
