Good morning from this side of the planet. It's 11:34 AM here as I write this post. It's a bright sunny day right now after some good pouring in the morning. But it can get dark clouds and rain anytime. Weather has been going through these unpredictable mood swings these days My work got over early today. Well, a mix of offline and online classes have started from today. So, there was a bit of changes in time table. I worked from 7-10:40 today and that's all about today's day at work Spent some 40 minutes here. And now my body signals me to get up and move around.. I also need to make lunch. Since I started working early, I did not prepare it in the morning. It's one pot rice dish for the menu and that should be quick. It's rice with all veggies and lots of soya chunks to add the protein portion. We will have it with curd and salad of cucumber, radish, turnip, lettuce and colorful bell peppers as side dish. What's happening in your mylot corner? What's on your table for your meal? See you later. Leaving you with the image of this colourful flowers. It's not from my garden. My mom shared it with a good morning message. Mom's garden has always been a heaven

It's from Mom's garden. My mom has a beautiful garden and that's very well maintained and aesthetic. I envy mom for many of her artistic skills. She has energy level of youth in her 60s.

@allknowing I am jealous too. She is 62 now but as active as a 26 year old.. This is the most simple corner of her garden. She has a gorgeous garden

Wow these flowers are so amazing. Your mum did a good job. I am having a bit of an upset stomach and will be having a very light lunch consisting of boiled vegetables

Those flowers are tagetes (also called Marigold). I had in my garden, I thought they were perennial but they did not grow back this year.

@LadyDuck We had heavy pouring last night with thunderstorm. And it's 5:30 PM here and dark clouds are back. Seems like it would be another such night.

Even I lost few in my garden. Maybe too much of rain killed them. I had the other big orange flowers.

I guess I won't be eating at your house today. (I would eat the side dish, though. ) It's 2:16 am here. I woke up and haven't gone back to sleep yet. The flowers in the photo are beautiful but I've always thought they smelled bad. I'm glad those are at your mom's house and not at yours.

@arunima25 Yes, I recognized them as marigolds and have never liked their scent. Mom used to grow them around the house when I was a kid. It was one of the flowers I wouldn't pick. I've never had brown rice, so would be willing to try it. The same with the soya chunks. I'd be willing to try them. I'll go back to bed after while. I'm still wide awake and talking here.

You might like it. I have used brown rice and that is not mushy. Also I have just added carrots, beans and brocoli. No peas or okra.. I am not sure if you like soya chunks. So that might be one thing to put you off. But they taste and feel like pieces of meat. My daughters call it vegetarian meat These are marigold and they smell nice. My mom has a very beautiful garden and it is very aesthetically maintained. I hope you get some good rest. Or else you can always be here. It's a good place to enjoy our time

@DaddyEvil Oh! I see. I think that marigold don't have a strong scent. So even if you don't like them, it should not be bothering much. Unless you go too close to them. Soya chunks is a very good source of protein for vegetarians. It has more protein than any meat as claimed You have luxury of time and no obligations. So you can stay awake till you feel like. Just make sure that you get enough rest later.

@arunima25 I really think so too, provided it also just helps me to take a break from the kitchen until the next day.
