'Michael, Michael of the morning, Fresh corps of Heaven adorning, Keep me safe today, And in time of temptation Drive the devil away.' Story has it a mother named her newborn child after Archangel Michael, the Prince of the Heavens. Growing up, she taught her child the simple prayer to invoke the protection of the archangel. The child became a soldier and was sent to war. One day, the mother received a letter from the soldier-son recuperating from trauma of battle. In the letter, the son narrated that he was sent ahead to check the presence of enemies, the soldier muttered the prayer to Michael, believing the mighty archangel would protect him. As he walked the fields, a huge marine suddenly emerged and walked in powerful strides. He asked for the name because he did not recognize such a handsome marine in his unit. The huge marine simply said Michael. The soldier said they share the same name. And it happened the huge Michael all of a sudden shoved the soldier and charged towards enemy lines. The soldier marveled at the speed of his new comrade who seemed to have glowed in action. Many moments later, the soldier was being awakened by his platoon leader telling him his bravery was totally admirable. The only question that puzzled the leader was how he singlehandedly slashed many enemies with his rifle. The soldier spoke not a word but deemed it wise to tell only his mother of the story about Archangel Michael saving him from sure death.
