Just remembered that a little while ago. Monday is Columbus Day so we are off. In the past the district has given the students off but made the teachers show up for a professional development day. That isn't the case this year.
So tomorrow won't be a Sad Sunday. It will be a great day with another day off after that!

Huzzah! I didn’t worry much about traveling because usually only government employees get Columbus Day off. Still glad I’m home, though.

Lately even October 12th is a violent day in some places. I have heard that statues with Columbus have been vandalized. The world is crazy.

Thank you for the reminder I had forgotten about Columbus and that annoying verse they had us repeat each year in grade school. Do you remember? In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue
