It may be that not a lot of you know her, and it seems that she has not been on here since the beginning of Covid.
Pat Veretto's daughter posted on Facebook that she passed peacefully in her sleep. Another friend from here asked if I would share.

She was another long time friend on the Lot. I do always think of her good living choices and her antique washing machine for her profile picture.
If I ever suffer a long term illness, I will try to let you know, and I will do my best to leave things with some closure.
Rest in peace to all of our friends we have lost.

Thank you, Heather, I took time to come here to view her profile. She also had a blog and wrote about being frugal and when I looked through our messages, I noted that she was the one who helped me when I first started canning jam and harvesting dandelions.
I am really going to miss her, she had so much wisdom, I am sure I didn't learn nearly as much from her as I could. Here is her blog if anyone is interested.

@GardenGerty We kept in touch on Facebook and I would comment on her blog sometimes, I actually looked at my last comment about something she was doing called knitting leaves for fall decorating. I said I was going to look it up and I didn't, so I am going to do that tonight.

Her profile pic is an older style washing machine common in the US in the late 60s or early 70s. I remember mom using one like that when I was a kid.

Oh, that's so awful to hear. I didn't even realize she was on here.
I knew her on Chatabout, and I knew her from the Dollar Stretcher forums, and I even remember when she did the frugal living pages on About.com. I'm so sad to learn this. I'm glad she went peacefully.

Very true. It's also possible that she never wrote a discussion I found interesting. (If I can't think of anything to say, I keep on going and find someone I know and am interested in talking with. *shrug* I'm only human.)
