"Tapis and Wanes"

When I visited an establishment in town, I was fascinated seeing these two toilets for men and women. 'Tapis' is a toilet for women that refers to the lower part of clothes worn by them. 'Wanes' refers to G-strong that most native men wear. Any new things found in your life lately?

Okay... that just seems weird... I'm glad we just use the straightforward toilet signs.

That's creative. But it might be confusing for someone new to the country and unaware of the culture. The pictures are not very contrast. But anyway one will figure out

I am sure they can figure them out. They can able to determine which one is a man and woman.

When I first saw this I was thinking that the actual toilets were different and not just the signs on the doors.

The toilets for men and women are still the same. They only used other names for these doors.

Nothing much new here other than a sunny day after days of rain. I’m loving it.

I like it because it reflects the culture in the north. But I'm glad they still include images of male and female for those of us who are from other parts of the country and the world.

I do like them, too. The local people maintain the indigenous arts through them. It maintains the image of native people in Baguio City.
