A new source of pleasure for The Horse!

Sometimes I get stuck in a rut. I do the same things over and over. Playing guitar brings me pleasure. So does interacting on MyLot. But sometimes I just stare at my guitar or computer screen.
Yesterday, I did something totally new and I really enjoyed it. I went grocery shopping with my buddy, Mark. His wife, a lawyer, has put on some weight, so his focus was on healthy foods. I became inspired, as I realized I've been eating too much frozen food (yes, I cook it first) and haven't given my body a good vegetable scraping in a long time.
Mark and I chatted away, strategized about ways to prepare stuff (he is an excellent cook) and I bought a bunch of veggies. I bought a big head of lettuce, some blue cheese dressing, tomatoes, a white onion, some garlic, and leeks, among other things.
I'll write more about my first experiment with the leeks later. I consider it a success. I have to head off to my friend's preschool early today. Do you like shopping with a friend?

I'm afraid friends can push me into doing things I wouldn't normally do that I'd later regret, so meh.
Hopefully you won't regret buying veggies. Sounds like you're going to make a very good salad.

I used to go shopping with Leticia. But ever since the pandemia started, I don´t go out much and I´m alone.

No, I do not like shopping with a friend or with anyone. If I had a choice I would arrive at the store the moment it opened and hurry and get done and get out of there.

I prefer shopping by myself but it's nice to have someone drive me home afterwards 
I made a pot of soup yesterday using homegrown potatoes and mutant carrots, the last of the donated cabbage, a leftover cooked sausage, some canned stuff people keep giving me that I wouldn't ordinarily buy myself. Turned out not too badly. Will be having some for lunch soon.

I can no longer shop; but I used to enjoy my Friday night grocery shopping. I always did it on a Friday night because I was done with work; and if I tired myself out, I didn't have to go to work the next day. I would sometimes hit 3 stores. I always shopped by myself.

I get bored shopping with someone else. I even cut short shopping trips with Pretty if she starts examining the ingredients listed on different packages.

You sound like you really enjoyed yourself, I have not been shopping with a friend in ages and mostly now I shop online but you bring me wonderful memories of Latvia, We had a supermarket not too far away and when I went shopping alone I would call up my husband when I was done and he would come to meet me halfway so I would not have to carry stuff all the way home

Sometimes you need a bit of motivation to try something a bit different. I don't often go shopping with friends but I'm sure it's fun.
