Unusual deaths

Pears and grapes are probably my favorite fruits, but it seems like they - allegedly - killed a few men in the past. A pair of Greek authors were told to have died choked by grapes, while a comic poet was struck by a pear. Claudius Drusus, a Roman politician, also died suffocated while he was playing with a pear and caught it in his mouth. Why am I writing about killer grapes and pears? I was actively searching for unusual deaths. Why was I searching for unusual deaths? Well, for a novel I'm planning to write, but I might talk about it another time. Another cool unusual death involves a Greek tragedian, Aeschylus, who was fatally hit by a tortoise dropped by an eagle. A legend says Aeschylus was staying outside because a prophecy told him he would have died by the fall of a house. Funny. King Louis III of France died at 18 by hitting his head on the lintel of a door while mounting his horse, attempting to pursue a girl. Good. What do we have next? Henry Taylor, a pall bearer, was carrying a coffin when he tripped on a stone and the coffin fell, crushing him. Not good. A lady named Mary Reeser was thought to have died of spontaneous human combustion though it's more likely she fell unconscious while smoking and her cigarette fell on her clothes. Smoking kills, it really really does. At last, I've read about so many people dying from laughter I don't think it's that unusual at this point. These deaths should inspire me a little, but I need more. I also need more unusual unfortunate events in general. P.S. On the Sims 4 you can die from laughter. I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to play a little and see if it can provide more material for my novel.

I have had a little fear of dying by laughter if i was eating at the same time.

@averygirl72 Nope, literally just a Wikipedia page. A long page anyway. I thought of getting more prompts in the comments, but it's enough material to work on already.

@averygirl72 Thanks. I hoped there were a bunch because my imagination is quite limited. I was pleasantly surprised.

I believe you have a very good plot for a novel indeed. These kinds of deaths are interesting.

@RebeccasFarm It has to be something I can write about for a while, the plot isn't that fantastic but it should allow me to not block too often.

@jstory07 But I love eating them, I'll just kill them before they kill me.
