What have you learned about relationships over your life? The main two things I learned is: No two relationships are alike. As even as individuals, we are all different in one way or another. (Which other people are still apparently learning). And, that relationships will only work out as long as you're trying. As once you stop trying, the relationship is failed and it's time to move on.

I think the same, no 2 people nor 2 relationships are the same. I feel like there are 2 kinds of relationships, lifelong and transient.

so true. I learned finally that respect can lead to love and not to try and control a person you love. or let them control you. Both have to be willing to treat it as a partnership.

It is a partnership and should be treated as such no matter what

I agree with both. Relationships require work to grow. And, if we don't try we're bound to fail. I've also learned, that sticking with it, is a part of the struggle. And, you have to know when to, and when to give up.

Yup. But giving up too early is not good. You have to try

I learned never be in a relationship with someone you expect to change. Generally speaking what you see is what you get.

I agree. Everyone is different. So relationships are different too. It takes two to work at it or it won't work.
