Resignation Didn’t Go So Well

Parting on friendly terms was a high expectation on my son’s part when he met with his boss today. His boss went berserk, swore at him, threatened to sue, and closed his phone within 15 minutes among other things. Knowing the right people helped him get a new phone with his original phone number after several hours. He’s back in business! We are on alert to help our son get through his anxiety tonight. Beginning a new business is not so easy it seems. At least the kitties are around to offer unconditional love and support. So is his family. I will try to pop in later. It’s been quite a day here.

I was afraid that would happen. I'm sorry for the pain and anguish your son is going through right now. It won't help now, but he'll get all this behind him quickly enough.

Going berserk over this situation, what a childish response! He just knows that his business will suffer, because he's not prepared to handle the work load himself. Your son is tender hearted, things like this bother him deeply. Swearing and threats of a lawsuit? How ridiculous!

We figure the boss didn’t have a very good day either. My son’s partner threatened to release some nasty information if boss didn’t pay him 8 million that he owes him, and 5 of his best people jumping ship on the same day, etc….. We told our son that this too shall pass. He laughed, because he felt like that when divorced the witch. Thanks! He’s on FaceTime right now. Ttyl

@kobesbuddy It may. He tried to buy back one of the women my son brought over to his company by offering her a lot more. My son and partners decided to match it. Waiting to hear what happened. My son is talking to the rest of his old customers today. No non compete contacts

@DianneN That witch is gone and your son has a better life! With all the issues this boss is facing, it appears that his ship might sink.

My son plans to put his nasty old boss out of business if a lawsuit by his former partner won’t put him in jail first! Things are moving along well now for my son. His business should be set to be up and running by Monday or Tuesday

He is lucky for having a supportive family. It makes me want to cry. Because I have been in similar situations and I was not supported.

We can only do so much for him. The rest is up to him. So sorry you weren’t supported by your family. That must have been awful for you.

I am sure your son is probably quite upset right now, but hopefully he’ll realize in a few hours (or days) that he made the 100% correct decision, given the horrible and ferocious negative reaction by his boss. And the kittens know the truth, and they’re all that matter.

@DianneN — food is better, but kittens won’t make you scream when you step on the scales later.

He knew beforehand that he made the correct decision. Today, he feels a lot better since all of his big clients are following him and his boss couldn’t steal away a woman worker who is following him, too, despite the sick amount of money the boss enticed her with. Oh, those kitties are so comforting in times of stress. We all need comfort at times. Mine is food

His boss must have been sick to his stomach when my son resigned. My son basically ran the business and filled the coffers. Still, no excuse to act like that.

The Boss is afraid to make it on his own and now he has to. I know your son will have great success in his own business. Sometimes you just have to go for it.
