How often do you buy branded items ?

I was last year at an outlet in the city of Nerdlingen in Germany, branded items from past collections are sold there at a discount of up to 90 percent, but some still remain with a very high value, I tried on a dress that cost several hundred euros, I do not dispute they are all very beautiful, I even allowed myself to buy something, but the question is whether these things are worth such money?

I live near an outlet similar to the one in Germany. I do not care to buy branded items. I do not need to "show off", I buy good quality because I like nice clothing, but I do not care about brands.

@saytama We finally only pay more for a "name", it is not even sure that the quality is better.

@LadyDuck You are an Italian, you may know that there is a town in Italy where labourers from abroad produce these brand items in so-called sweat shops. Unfortunately, I've forgotten the name of the town. I seem to remember that it is in Tuscany. The important thing is to sew a famous label on a cheap item. You can then double the price.

I live not far away from such an outlet. I went there once to have a look at what was on offer. I bought a watch but no clothes. I'm not interested in branded stuff as I don't live a life where I could show off with such things. No friend or acquaintance of mine would even recognise a branded item.

@saytama There is a saying in German, "The ones who show off, need it." I don't need to show off. I have enough self-confidence. If someone showed me an expensive watch and mentioned the price, I'd make a silly remark like, "Does it show a better time than a cheap one?" Or, "Look, my cheap watch shows the same time."

@MALUSE I know people who get satisfaction from expensive purchases , they believe that things show their status

It also seems to me that the rumors that people buy things for a few thousand dollars are a little exaggerated

@saytama Ooh alright. It's only few times that I bought branded clothes but now two years later they are worn out.

The phone is a separate category of things), I have been using only one brand for many years and do not want to change

You look beautiful. For me, buying expensive clothes isn't my thing. I am not interested much. It's individual choice at the end of the day

I think if a person is happy from within, material things wont matter much. But personally, I have issues so somehow shopping for something that make me feel better about myself is still something I deal with.
