Good Thursday Morning

It is 6:30 on Thursday morning. I am breaking up my routine a bit. I decided that even though I do not like my laptop that well, I am going to use it this morning..
I am sitting in the living room, with a small cover. I am in a comfy chair and have my bruised foot elevated. Oh, and of course there is coffee. I am going to concentrate on just myLot.
Usually I am in the office, using the desktop, sitting in an office chair and I am all over the place on different websites. So this is a change for me.
I can picture us, all around the world, communicating with one another. Some from work (which I never can do) Some people are in bed and using their tablets and others are on their phones, which I think would be hard.
The laptop is not my preferred way to access the internet, but that is because I have not used it as often as I could and I am not comfortable on it. The way I strike the keys is different. The screen scrolls without me meaning to.
So this morning I am trying to do a little catch up here.a I will leave the house in less than a half hour.

I never turn mine off, but I do very little in the way of being online on it.

I could use the laptop, but, like you, I don't really like it. In fact, I have a keyboard and mouse I use when I use the laptop because I've been too long on ergonomic keyboards to be too happy with flat ones... In fact, I got the wife hooked on them too!
Sorry to hear you hurt your foot. When I fell just before Christmas I really didn't get hurt. I was trying to put the wife's suitcase in the car to take up to the hospital. However, I didn't even get out the door. I fell right in the doorway. I needed the roommate to throw Boris out of the room and then she got me a folding chair to use to get up.
Get better soon. I guess I need to go visit the wife in the hospital tomorrow... **sigh**

The more I look the more bruising I find. I hate yo yo weather. WE had snow, then sunshine, then bitter cold and the snow turned to ice.Some people are natual care takers and you are one of them. Tell Viv "hello" from us.

That's why I use a mouse with my laptop... too easy to touch the touch pad with it right under the keyboard. When I plug in the mouse, it over-rides the touch pad.

I do that and plug in a keyboard as well. It doesn't override the keyboard, if I reach up and type a letter on the laptop it types it. When the wife's great-niece and nephew moved with the family to Kansas she sent up a computer and two mice, one for each kid. All they had to do was plug both in and only the one in current use would do anything. I guess if each kid was messing with the mice then they'd probably both work most of the time.

@GardenGerty My mouse is wireless, too, but there's a little thingie I need to plug in with the other peripherals to make it work.

I just have never gotten really used to it and it is Windows 10. I hear they are coming out with Windows 11.

I need a mouse with my laptop. It's not my preferred method to this madness either. I much prefer my desktop. I've told myself I want to get used to the laptop. It still sits in the same place in the living room, untouched.

I prefer my desktop as its just easier to read and respond when myLotting. But there are occasions when I use my tablet or phone and it isn't as easy
