Being mindful of what you eat is the most important step to better health. By consciously making a few minor changes to your eating habits, you can make a significant impact to your health and well-being. Eating mindfully entails eating sensibly. The art of mindful eating raises awareness to what and how much you are eating at any given meal. Over-eating can be most harmful. Trust your instincts to know how much to eat. Do stop eating once you feel satisfied with the intake of food - - - even if it happens to be your favorite cuisine. The manner in which you eat is as important as what you eat. If you gobble your food in front of your television or computer screen, you are not eating right. Eating too fast hampers digestion. Make sure to eat foods slowly and chew properly, to be well digested. By eating mindfully at each meal, you can reap rich benefits of good health.

I try to eat food in moderation due to doctor's orders and my fear of harming my taste buds if I eat too much sweet foods.

@Deepizzaguy Eating in moderation is indeed a key to maintaining good health. Well, as you might be aware, eating too many sweet foods can also cause diabetes.
