Do you have pets? What do they mean to you?

I do! I take care of 21 rescued senior dogs at our compound! And I have 4 of my own personal fur babies! The profile picture is my senior potty girl that has cancer. She was saved from someone that literally let her starve to death.
I love my babies!

Whoa! Bless your beautiful heart. We have 7 dogs at home and 3 adopted cats. :) They are like family!

@bizness We have toy poodles and shih tzus. For the cat, I am not so sure about that

Yes! I've had pets all my life, I love animals. Spent a good portion of my adult life working with them professionally too.
Right now I have two small dogs, both elderly. I've also found that while I would love to have many more, finding a place to rent is damn near impossible with anything larger than a hamster. I'm not planning on going anywhere anytime in the near future but I've looked around here and there. Even with my two small ones my options would be super limited. Funny thing about LA? The city is a super dog friendly place. You can take your dogs almost anywhere, into just about any store. But you can't find anywhere to actually live if you have them unless you make a ridiculous amount of money.

They are definitely family! I adore mine! I understand about not renting to people with pets. I see it all the time. It just makes it more difficult for Animal lovers. So sad....

@bizness It does! I wish people were more open to allowing exceptions to their rules. I was a dog trainer for YEARS. I think proving that would be enough for a home owner to be like, "Oh. Well her pets probably aren't going to pee everywhere and eat my carpet then." Ya know? Like I know what I'm doing, your house will be fine.

I have a dog, Luna, at home. I love her dearly. But I couldn´t imagine having 21 dogs. Luna makes me spend about the same I spend for myself. Do you have a shelter?

Tell Luna hello! Yes we have a Sanctuary for senior dogs. We do rescue and transport as well to get pets out of bad situations and in to good ones.

I love animals and have 2 cats and a yearling pup. They're my family and live in the house with me ..... well, the pup takes me out for walks at least 6 times a day but otherwise we spend our time indoors.
I'll never understand how people can be so cruel to such faithful loving pets.
