Broca's area in frontal lobe

I see that the Broca's area in the frontal lobe is where the speech process happens. That's the part of my brain that has been affected from Covid (I mean I think it's from Covid) and it's that exact location where it hurts (front part of the skull, and around the left eye). According to the link below, Broca's area is responsible for the planning of the speech, not the actual delivery to the mouth, but the forming of the sentences etc which is what I'm having trouble with. I find it odd (although I am grateful) that I'm still capable of writing full sentences, albeit at a slower pace and with some throbbing pain (and swelling) incoming on my left front side of my head. This is what I will be studying and keeping busy with for now. I've always been intrigued with whatever happened to me health-wise and being my own healer, I just love the science of it all even though I'm not exactly a scholar on the matter. I study college textbooks for fun, and that part of my brain still seems to work I think (thank goodness), so I'm gonna explore this for a bit. There's another part of my brain also affected, short-term memory loss (from hysterectomy) has gone a lot worse (and probably progressed to some permanent losses), and occasionally I feel as my brain is taking a pause, but another thing (that I wouldn't necessarily call an issue, as I've been feeling like a bundle of joy since it happened lol) is that my ADD brain used to be bombarded with all sorts of thoughts and worries to the point of constant confusion and overwhelm. (ADD is for Attention Deficit Disorder, symptoms of this disorder inlcude forgetfulness, inability to focus on a task for long periods of time, lots of intrusive thoughts that make it impossible to concentrate, poor organizational and time management skills, difficulty coping with stress, just to name a few). That's all gone now for some reason. Maybe it's from the 3-day fast I did to get the other Covid symptoms to subside quickly (which worked), as I noticed lots of rejuvenation on my joints and skin as well. The head trauma was unexpected, but I think it's temporary, considering it happened the same day I lost my sense of smell (taste I still have).

ADD is for Attention Deficit Disorder, that has gone significantly worse for me since going on surgical menopause. It's a disorder with multiple symptoms: forgetfulness, inability to focus on a task for long periods of time, lots of intrusive thoughts that make it impossible to concentrate, poor organizational and time management skills, difficulty coping with stress, etc.

@healerWitch Thanks for the explanation. You could add this info to your post. I'm sure that many other readers don't know this, either.

I read something about hysterectomies and mental issues last year. One of my sisters is having some problems, as well. Not the same as yours, but enough to make me go on a search that turned up interesting information, at least. I hope everything works out for you in the long run.

@healerWitch Our doctor has to be careful about what meds they prescribe us. Our bodies don't react to some meds the same way other people react to them. *shrug* It's always fun when we try something new.

It sounds as if you've been through a horrible ordeal and still have a ways to go to return to good health. I hope you'll come across something that will help you in healing yourself. Keep positive. A good attitude can go a long way.

Thank you. The first day of Covid was the worst, joint and muscle pains that left me nearly paralyzed, chest pains etc. After the 2nd day of fast (3rd day of Covid) I was back to my old self, then a couple days after I started eating again, the migraines and loss of smell came about, and then the speech loss. I'm only about a week in, so yes definitely need more time in recovery.

@healerWitch I'm sorry you're going through all that. I know your body is fighting hard to defend against this virus. Keep doing the things you need to, to help your body fight. We all have an amazing ability to heal. Post updates if you get the chance.
