Who is watching the winter olympics?

February 5, 2022 11:25pm CST
Winter Olympics 2022 officially opened in Beijing last Feb. 04 and is now at full blast. I don't know if it's because of the Pandemic, the present political atmosphere or I am just disconnected right now but I don't feel the same energy as I have with the previous games. So anyone here actively following the winter olympics? How is it on your end? What events and teams are your favorites?

I haven't watched winter Olympics ever as I am not interested. I don't think it's safe to organise such events in middle of the pandemic

According the serious Humanity Crimes in Cathay,i won't watch the Olympics often. That's too disgusting. But i'll watch the "Men's single skating",It has Nathan Chen,Vicent Zhou(They're American, not Chinese) and Hanyu Yuzuru. It's the only thing i will watch.Because i'm a big fan of Hanyu Yuzuru. Surely,i will support every athelete except Chinese, they're the political tool of Cathay. Before they attend Olympics, they vowed"We'll devote our lives to the Great Leader"(Baoda Lingxiu Huochuqu),It's too political and evil.I never like them.

Maybe one of the reasons why not much fanfare on this olympics- a lot of us are discouraged from watching them because of all that's going on.

@NatsuYeung If it's in 2008,i'd be very excited and totally support Chinese athelete. At that time,Cathay had no concentration camps or so many humanity crimes.I was proud of being a Chinese. I still remembered many western countries went to China and admired Beijing Summer Olympics. We sticked together and wished the best for our country. But Since someone takes the Supreme Power,i feel shameful of being a Chinese.Concentration Camps,Red-Nazi Invasion to Free Worlds,New Economic-colonization to those little and poor countries,High-tech Totalitarianism, all of these,it just makes me sick.I'll never praise the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. I really wish Chinese people can get the freedom and human rights back, just like under President Hoo's rule.Because peace won't happen just because of a Olympics Show,it will happen when the rule of the those Nazi totalitarian policies ends.

apparently. An Uyghur was said to light the torch - China's way of saying the reports of their oppression towards that group of people wasn't true- however, there are plenty of evidence and reports of their atrocities...

I may tune in for some of the ice dancing but I'm not looking forward to watching it either with any kind of anticipation. I think Covid has a lot to do with the low-key games this year.
