Yes that's true ,I am born in the 80's and was raised in the 90's abd there are some things that I saw duribg those times that I still see today . Its nostalgic feeling if you see old things today that reminds you of the past. Just like this telephone I'm holding. I know there are two types of landline phones before. The one that has holes on it and this one in the picture. This is our old landline phone my uncle kept it and now he is showing it to us. Those were the times where direct dial is needed to some places to connect your call, party line is the term when you hold it up and can hear another person talking on the other line. Have you used this type of phone before? p.s. picture is mine and thats me !!

I'm born in 80s too. I feel at that time if you have those phones you are really rich. I still remember pay phones is a good business

@averygirl72 I remember that too yes you are correct during those time if you have that kind of phone you are already rich because it takes a lot of requirements to apply for a line. And yes too pay phone as a business is the trend that time specially if you have a small sari sari store.

@iKONICNoona It's very different now with the coming of mobile phones. We have landline phones included by our internet provider

I did yes and the ones with the rotary dial as well. Gosh I miss those days, sometimes I want to throw away my "smart" phone. My husband is all addicted to his phone, got every social media platform installed, all day and all night his phone is ringing, beeping and when he answers the phone in the night, he won't even bother to go to another room. I'm like "I've been up since 3am, I had a TON of work today and your kids drove me crazy. I'm exhausted, I need my sleep. Can't you just put it on Do Not Disturb or at least talk at the other end of the apartment?" I liked it better when you didn't have to carry the phone with you, and all you could do with it was call, and the people had the decency of not calling at night unless there was an emergency. These days? Ugh.

@healerWitch I understand your sentiment . Yes you are correct on that part too , today gadgets and phones are a bit annoying too I mean the users of the gadget , they brought it at lunch table , even inside bathrooms when pooping or something, they can't put it down

We had no phone at all when I was growing up so I've been through all the different types of phone. They seem to be continually changing.
