Lata Mangeshkar, one of the most famous Indian singers of all time, has died at age 92 from Covid 19. Her career spanned over 70 years, and the president of India declared two days of mourning. She comes from a family of musical talent, including her younger sister,Asha Bhosle.

A legend. A great voice whose songs still resonate in our minds! And do you know she even sang a song in Russian (I am not sure which song)even though she didn't understand that language. She sang even in her 70s and with a still impactful voice. Thanks for sharing this

She was a great singer and has lots of hit songs. She was called the "nightingale of India". She had a great voice. She lived her life alone as she didn't marry in her life. She was awarded lots of prestigious awards in her career.

Yes. Have you heard of any of her music? Widely available on You Tube. She played the singing voices for a lot of Bollywood actors.. a few years ago Kazakhstan declared a period of mourning for Denis Ten, who won the first ever Olympic figure skating medal for his country in 2014. In this case he was murdered by robbers. The nation ordered all TV to be broadcast in black and white.
