If Iraq was such a threat to American security, and had advanced and extensive biological, chemical, nuclear and conventional weapons progress - as Colin Powell was anxious to have us believe - why weren't these weapons used in the recent conflict?

One Word- Politics. There was no weapons of mass destruction to begin with. The world was led to believe that it existed in Iraq and the Bush administration was misinformed from the begining. One could say that it was an excuse they needed to go into war with Iraq. There is no solid proof that WoMD exists. This what you call politics at it best and brainwashing.

ther wer no WMD in Iraq. Mr. Powell & Mr. Bush needed an escuse to attack a soverign country, so the story. any ways, the most violent WMDs are stockpiled and used by the people who claim to prevent others from using them [US / UK].
