This Crazy World

The way I keep calm is to try to make sense out of nonsense. We are faced with the threat of an all-out attack due to the war declared upon Ukraine. It will not mention any names but if appears that suddenly something or someone has turned the world around. How to make sense out if the illogical? These are some of the scenarios I might come up with were I to write a novel about the happenings. Scenario One Now to keep myself on the straight and narrow I do not look or read about the news much these days. Mostly it is that keeping busy helps me and that there is really nothing I can do about it. Just suppose that a certain man who has decided that he has been grievously wronged and not playing with a full deck wants to get revenge. He turns to another man across the ocean and they decide that one can help the other thus achieving both their goals. The one is angry at his country feeling he was wrongly accused but has enough money to help the other. The Russian man is grateful to find that his friend would fully back him financially and in turn, he will help him get revenge against the country that the other man feels has done him wrong. So now both are on a path to total destruction and both not working on full cylinders. Scenario Two Trusting in my faith and praying and reading the BIble - Who could possibly imagine we would enter into the 2000s. However, we did but suppose according to the Bible we have entered into the Book of Revelations. Just suppose that the devil chooses this time to possess a certain man to help to destroy the world. The Russian gentleman in question if we believe was intelligent and living in peace and harmony all these years ruling his country suddenly snaps and does something so unbelievable that he has everyone in the world waiting for the other shoe to drop. Why? Who knows but suppose such a man became possessed by the devil for his own purposes. He is suddenly controlled by a force stronger than himself and so he marches on. The only most holy person I could think of to perhaps explain this would be the Pope. Finally, I think this is an awesome but rather disturbing song "The Spanish Train" written and sung by Chris de Burgh. Here the devil and the Lord are playing poker for the souls of the dead, Please let me know your thoughts.

I think the West were caught, by "surprise" again. They do not do much beforehand, to stop these things from happening before they happen. A madman bides his time, and then pounces. He should have been controlled at an earlier stage. There is no spiritual reason for war, as spirit works from love alone; wars come about from those working, not from love, but from their own greed, and need to power over all else, and others.

I agree. It is all about power and greed. At what cost?. Innocent lives are lost and a dominoe effect might soon happen across the world.

@askme123 Yes, usually, if someone flexes their muscles, there will be others that want to flex their muscles too, and show them that they have still bigger muscles, more power than them, and that they can control them too. Wanting to control others with more control, creates that domino effect too, I think too.

Wow you pretty much summed up what is going on. And that song gave me chills. Reminded me of what happens when you sell your soul to the devil. Seems like maybe we are headed in that direction.

@RasmaSandra Maybe find some happy music and turn it up. I do understand. I have to try to stay out of my mind on many days.

We don't know what the future holds, but one lesson people should have learnt from the pandemic is that - man is not in charge , God is.

Scenario 3 An official writes about two rival powers 'pushing' each other for world domination, forever lying to one another at a shared conference table. An elderly fisherman, exiled on a Greek island, makes a record of visionary horsemen, one of which is described as a 'fiery' warhorse. He coins a term that becomes the source of much fascination and speculation. A young prince warns of a series of difficult circumstances that will mark his ascension to his throne. His description spells out the details of the official's and the fisherman's more metaphoric language. The prince warns his subjects not to get involved in the troubles around them. He reveals that it is a direct result of his arch enemy's activity. Rather, he commissions his ambassadors to focus on a worldwide campaign to invite people to emigrate and support his rulership. He promises that he has the power and authority to bring the trouble to an end and usher in a peaceful future. Supporters of the prince recognize that they may personally suffer as a result of the conditions prevalent at the time described by these three writers, but they trust his promise, that this is a temporary situation until he vanquishes his enemies. In fact, they follow his advice to be joyful, knowing that worsening conditions mean the time is very close.

Someone provoked Ukraine suggesting they absolutely had to join NATO, they had to know better that the other man would have never accepted to have NATO missiles bordering his country. Now the whole Europe is paying the stupidity of playing with the fire.
