You might think, based on the title, that this one is about my annual St. Patrick's Day Eve Party, which is happening right now. But no. Technically, everything today is about my St. Patrick's Day Eve Party but that's only because the entire world is focused on it. Tightly. Like a Laser. Including Gathering of the Green, which would make a good name for a St. Patrick's Day Party but it isn't. That's probably why it only attracts thousands of people and my current Party already has more than 80 thousand people and it just started a couple of hours ago. But forget about that because this isn't a competition. And it isn't about me or my Party. Even though my Party is bigger and better than Gathering Of The Green, which is an event for John Deere Enthusiasts held at the RiverCenter in Davenport, Iowa every year. They go to enjoy 75+ vendors, trips and tours, displays, and speakers. And this year, for the first time ever, there is the Plow City Tractor Show running Wednesday through Friday at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds. The whole thing runs until Sunday and I recommend you go. IF you can tear yourself away from my Party for a few hours. I say that because, just like you, I love old tractors and farm machinery. Not just them, either. Cars, motorcycles, boats, all vehicles. My problem is this place is so tiny. My yard is barely 10 million acres, so I have a few old tractors but not many. If you want to see a lot of them, you have to tear yourself away from here and go to Davenport for a little while. Maybe next year, Gathering Of The Green will get its' act together and schedule it for some other time so you don't have to make the agonizing choice of missing a little of my Party...Parties, actually because today is St. Patrick's Day Eve and then there's the St. Patrick's Day Party and then there are the After Parties, to see everything they have to offer. ************** Gathering of the Green 2022: You’re Never Too Old to Play with Tractors Bill Stage Published: March 14, 2022

It was my pleasure, George. Are you an antique tractor fan?

@xander6464 Not really a fan of antique tractors despite my late grandparents living on a farm in Panama.

The only reason I ever noticed St Patrick's Day was so I could remember to wear green so nobody pinched me at work. Now that nobody gets close enough to pinch anybody else, I see no reason to pay attention to it at all. Thank goodness!

That is a bright side that I don't think many appreciate.

I like John Deer tractors all shapes and colors. I got an affinity with them when I lived in Kansas

Kansas is a very good tractor state. For some reason, they seem to have a lot of them there.

Gotta love a day when everyone becomes Irish and wears the green and does the Irish jig, I love Irish music and they have many lively songs and ballads as well,

The one here? Yes. But keep in mind that it's just barely 2,400m long. So don't try to bring in one of your big planes.
