First, I will start off with the health journey part of the discussion. Weigh in - 178 Yes, I did go up a little bit...but hoping to drop my weight a lot in April. Blood sugars: Fasting - 134 (had carbs over the weekend....still not bad for having carbs) The rest of the day I was between 80 and 90 After meal 3 I did drop to 68, so ate a snack and just checked and I am back to 80. Best sugars I have seen in a while minus the fasting number. Macros: (not with the little snack I had for the low blood sugar) Calories - 1,467 Protein - 90 Fat - 103 Carbs - 31 Fiber - 11 Net carbs - 20 Sugars - 9 So - what did I eat to get those macros? Morning snack - Jerky and string cheese stick Meal 1 - Arby's Beef & Cheddar bowl - no bun/no red ranch (so delicious) Meal 2 - Ham sandwich Bread - 2 chaffles (1 serving cheese, 1 egg) Mayo, mustard, sugar free ketchup With this meal I had a caramel cup fat bomb (think Twix candy) Meal 3 - 2.5 servings deli sliced chicken Followed this meal with a small piece of my sugar free/low carb tiger fudge. Snack when I was "low" - 2 low carb oreos (11 total carbs, but only 2 or 3 net carbs) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Interested in the "challenge" that I was talking about? Well, this couple that I follow on YouTube do challenges each month. This time they are doing one that is a bit different. They have 2 options - a Beef, Butter, and eggs challenge or a Keto chow+ BBE challenge. The first is where you eat beef, butter and eggs all day. The 2nd challenge is you have 2 keto chow shakes (a protein shake that is low carb/keto) and then have one meal with beef, butter and eggs. I am thinking of doing a mix of the two - maybe 1 shake and 2 BBE meals. Although, I may still allow coffee with half & half. Still thinking of what I want to do. What do you all think (of my day of eating or the challenge)? And how did you do, if you'd like to share.

You are very determined! Hope you'll enjoy your challenge and reach your goal soon. I am not familiar with diet challenge. I can't really follow through those challenges. I am working on weight loss challenge now, by exercising.

You are doing well. I wouldn't like the BBE challenge. I have high cholesterol; and that would just add to it.

@LindaOHio I was thinking this too, Linda. I have high cholesterol, not a healthy challenge for me.

@kobesbuddy Yes, all three are bad for cholesterol.

Low carb works differently than the standard American diet...its the carbs that are bad for cholesterol...well fat is too in that situation.

Good that you are keeping mix of the two in challenge part. Hope it works for you and gives you the desired result. My sugar levels are stuck between 140-150 in the last few days. I am on roads due to certain work and not able to stay fully disciplined with diet and exercise. But still not so bad Your sugar levels are really good. Keep it up

I think doing both will help me not get bored of beef, butter and eggs lol. Sorry to hear about your sugars...although that's still not too bad like you said.

@MommyOfEli2013 Yes, we need to keep varieties on our diet else it becomes very monotonous. And we need varieties to even meet our nutritional requirements.

Wouldn't this challenge leave you low in fiber? I was thinking about this, but really didn't know. I always include coffee with half&half, every day.

@MommyOfEli2013 On your daily diet challenge, you always list fiber. That's why I mentioned it.

@kobesbuddy sometimes yes to show why my net carbs are lower than my total carbs. However, I'm not really concerned lol

I'm not at all concerned about fiber. Many out there are carnivores and are super healthy, no fiber. And I usually use heavy cream but half and half is much cheaper

Wow! I envy the discipline in following a specific diet plan. I've come to realize how unhealthy my lifestyle has been since I started working from home. Little by little, I lost time for exercising and I eat really unhealthy foods late at night as I am working a night shift. I wish to switch to the morning shift but most of my clients are in the opposite timezone as mine. I probably have to rethink my routine during my days off.
