Blue Light Blocking Eyewear

Amazon just dropped off a package. Out of the blue, lol, my son ordered some blue light blocking glasses for his mom and myself. He had been talking about them recently and how much he liked them. His life is computer screens and these glasses are provided free of charge from his employer. I have just put them on and see he purchased the magnifying reading glasses. My first impression is positive. It appears to have cleared up the glare from not only the tablet I use to MyLot, but the television screen too. By the end of today, I should know if they help with the tired and dry eyes from viewing a display screen. Have you tried blue light blocking glasses? Do you think they help you?

I've never heard of these but they would be a great idea if they work.

I hadn't heard of them until my son brought them up. I have used the settings on the phone and tablet but the glasses outperform those programs. No glare. They are magnified or just make everything on screen more clear. No more squinting and I don't need my reading glasses. I am hoping they will work for driving at night.

No, I don't. Computers and phones have software built in for that. I use that, instead. I have more control over how it works.

I like them so far and they seem to work better than the software on the devices I use. They work great for watching TV too.

@Vikingswest1 I'm glad it's working for you. Me, what my device provides is enough. Like I said, I like to control what is and isn't filtered.

I only use anti-radiation glasses. They help me stay long on the computer screen.

@Vikingswest1 I agree with you. I really need it because I am teaching online for many hours every day.

Yes. Anti-radiation glasses are the same glasses I'm talking about. They really help eliminating the glare from any screen. TV, computer and phone.

I have multifunctional glasses and blue light blocking is one of the features. I forget to wear them but when I do, they help. But I also have a lil bit of astigmatism.

@Vikingswest1 Modern glasses are awesome, they might be expensive at times but they work very well, solving several issues. Hopefully the pair your son got will make driving at night easier.

I was born blind in my right eye. In 2005, I was struck by a high speed carpet staple at work. It wiped out the lens and lens capsule in my left eye. They sewed up the capsule and it was only 2/3 of the diameter of it's original size. I had stitches in my eye for 6 months. I don't produce normal tears in the eye. I had 12 procedures done on the eye and expect more in the future. I got an acrylic implant but need trifocals to see different distances. I was always looking for ways to reduce glare. I would get terrible headaches and my eyes actually hurt. I would have to use eye drops many times a day. I developed a defense by squinting and using programs to cut glare. The nightlight feature was the best. My son works at Intel and had been using the glasses for a couple of years and he asked if I wanted to try them. He ordered a pair from Amazon and I am just one day into using them but they are great. I hope they will help enough to allow me to drive at night. I am doing a test run today after it gets dark.

You should ask your wife if wearing them makes you look better. Pretty and I talked about getting some but just haven't done it yet.

Every time I leave here, I tell her that I hope to see her pretty soon because she has been ugly for so long. I seriously doubt any glasses will make me look better lol. I am very happy with these. It really cuts down the glare.

@DaddyEvil I am hoping they will help driving at night. I'm already sold on them for viewing screens. Huge difference. The pair I got was a cheap seven dollar pair but if they help at night, I'll invest in a better quality pair. My wife gives better than she gets.

@Vikingswest1 Your poor wife! I hope she gives you some good zingers back! Thanks for telling me. We are curious about them. I'd also like to know about the driving glasses. I'm having trouble seeing the lines at night now.
