Parents who focus their attention on fostering feelings of security in their children in the early years of child development are simultaneously encouraged to independence. Independent children are generally disciplined children, who take their responsibility seriously. These are the children who are capable of making personal decisions regarding their food habits, dressing, extracurricular activities, and choice of friends. Disciplined children are some of the most independent children. Parents of disciplined children can easily trust their children’s good judgment and are thus able to give them greater independence once this important life skill is gained. This level of confidence thrust on the child from an early stage, raises the child’s level of self-esteem, leading to better performance and success in life..

Like my late parents would say "I want to be your best friend."

Give your children love and making them feel secure is what works in their life.

This can be true, When a child is well-disciplined, he/she can control himself/herself and all endeavors. Hence, he would be more responsible and trustworthy. There are exceptions to these though because things could also depend on how the child was disciplined. Whether love is there or not. Disciplined children brought about by love will be responsible and caring persons later on,
