In 1966 “Cherry Cherry” was the first big hit for Neil Diamond, I made it on both the Billboard Hot 100 chart and on Cash Box chart. It was issued as a 45 single from his live album Hot August Night in 1972. The song was also included on his compilation album In My Lifetime in 1996.

I find it hard to understand that some don't like Neil Diamond much. I sometimes have trouble making sense of the lyrics but he has a great voice.
