The rain is just so boring

We have had an unusual amount of rain lately and I am ready for the sun. The weather apps say we may get two days worth.
I am enjoying working my part time stint as a para for a student in driver's ed. The student has some learning issues, but I think he is really smart. Just need to help him learn enough to make 80% or more on all of the tests.
Driver's ed is different even from when my kids took it, and it will likely make me a safer driver because of the review.
They now teach things that never were mentioned when I was learning, or even when my kids were.
It is keeping my brain alive, for sure.

Things do change in my time when I took driver's education back in 1979 in high school compared to today.

He knows how to drive but needs to pass the class. The reading and written information gets a bit much for him. They have two practice tests and a test for the grade each day just about. That is in addition to the handbook test. He past that. He passed unit one, tomorrow he retakes unit two because he missed too many.

It stormed most of the day yesterday but we should have a clear day to drive to the allergist in Springfield this morning. (My appointment is at 8 am, so I'll need to start getting ready at 6 am.)

It is not an unpleasant job. I want him to master the work on his own, then he will have ownership and be proud of himself.

Things keep changing.
I hope that the student does well up to your expectations 
.
We have started getting sun. It rained through April and May and the sun was scarce. In the last few days, days are pleasant with bright sun. We do get rain in the night and I am happy about that as it keeps the weather cool

That sounds almost ideal. I only hope the student passes the tests he needs to. I think he actually has the skills but he needs his learner's permit to get lots of good practice.
