A female owner who lives in Haverhill New Hampshire of a missing female cat named Gigi received some good news from an employee from the Salem Animal Rescue League that she could come to the animal shelter to pick up her lost cat yesterday. Gigi who most likely ran away from her owner's home four years ago was being taken care of by a female who was feeding her in Salem. The female who was feeding Gigi was going to move out of state so she took Gigi to the animal shelter where Gigi had a microchip on her coat. The scan revealed that Gigi's owner lives in Haverhill. The catch was that the owner of Gigi could not be contacted by telephone since her telephone was disconnected. The shelter then contacted the microchip company who relayed the message to the animal shelter who told the microchip company officials that the cat was adopted from the MSPCA Nevins Farm Shelter in Methuen. Officials with the MSPCA then did their part by contacting Haverhill Animal Control to visit the owner of Gigi and ask her if she was missing a cat. When the owner of Gigi told them that she was missing a cat for four years, she was happy to learn that she a reunion with her cat was going to became a dream come true. Thanks to Gigi having a microchip and the teamwork of the various animal rights groups working together, they made a cat owner very happy by reuniting her with her lost cat which is indeed good news.

Wow, that cat was missing for a long time. The owner probably had another cat or two by now.

I am sure that is what happened since my relatives recently adopted a male kitten about one week ago.

That's wonderful, because of a chip, they were able to be reunited. It would be difficult to find its owner without it. I hope I can also attach a chip to all my cats and dog, that way, I won't be worrying when they run outside the house and get lost.
