Have you ever felt ignored?

What is it like to feel being ignored? Here I don't necessarily mean being ignored by someone who came into your life later(like friends or boyfriend). It can be your close family members too. I think it really hurts. I have a sister who is an overachiever and she ignores me whenever I visit her. It is kinda weird. We were so close when we were young. We used to eat from the same plate whenever either of us visited. The visits were more frequent. I can feel the distance grow between us. I am still trying to keep our childhood bonding glued together. Do you have stories to tell too? Have you witnessed childhood relationships change ? Is it pretty normal?

I guess when your boyfriend or girlfriend is ignoring you, or say, ghosting you.... That hurts. I've been there, and it hurts.

That has already happened with me and I have broken up. Check my previous discussion. the one that I wrote yesterday. I don't know why this happens. I am a nice person. I didn't beg anyone to be in a relationship with me. He confessed his feelings to me initially and then he is the one that ghosted me!

@Dreamerby I feel you. Some said that we are too easy for them. I don't know. For now, I don't want to think too much of this relationship thing first. I only wanted to gain money and show that guy I am richer than him.

I am sorry. The best way is to talk with her directly. It is the two who can resolve this family issue.

@RebeccasFarm That's sad. My parents love me a lot. I am the only child.

I think most sisters and brothers grew apart when they grew up and have families. It is sad when that happens.

I am lucky that I share a very strong bond with my brother and cousins. They are all humble despite their achievements. It must be hurting. One of my sister in law looks down upon me and I feel very ignored whenever she is around. I don't visit her unless we meet in situations where I can not avoid her. But this is your sibling and you should not loose the bonding. Just try to talk to her about how you feel in an appropriate way. Maybe she doesn't realise what she is doing.

@Dreamerby That's sad. It's better for you to stop worrying about it and get busy with your life. I know it would be tough but then if you continue wanting things to happen, it might hurt you more. Take care

No she does realize. I think it's ultimately her wish. If she doesn't want to keep the old bonding, I can't do anything save honoring her wishes

I'm lucky that my relationship with brothers and sister remains close all these years. We chat with each other online very often and have gatherings from time to time. It's sad that I lost my sister a few years ago.

Sorry about your sister. I know the feeling of being ignored especially from your siblings. I didn`t experience that from my siblings but to someone who used to be my friend and because of gossips she ignored me and didn`t even ask me about it first before believing from other people

It also happened to me in a work force being ignored. It's not good to feel but I whay should I bother myself. I also ignored the person so she will feel what I feel.

I think it is normal for relationships to just stop but if it is family you should not allow that. Friends come and go and sometimes the connection just stops.
