Good day fellow myLotters. First day of work coming off my three rest days. Really no motivation to work. Not sure why. Maybe it is the less than ideal salary range that I get. LOL! Seriously though, I'm just going through the motions. Anyway, I prepared some egg sandwich for the team. I also got some chocolate spread. I bought two loaves of bread, two bottles of soda, and a can of pineapple juice. I bought the food for my team as Saturday is the one day that all of us are here in the office and we've been sharing food the past couple of weeks. It has been so sort of tradition. Anyway, I may not be feeling inspired 100% to work, it doesn't mean, I don't want to spend time here in the office. What's not to like? The AC is strong and the internet connection is fast. Plus, we get to watch movies as we please and of course, there is the conversations that I have with my team members. Do you have similar thoughts at work?

It seems like you have a good rapport with the team. I wont mind less pay for that kind of social interaction.

@allen0187 Prices are going up crazy. Just today my daughter went to town with $20 USD or 1000++ Php. I was surprised I only got 50pesos and some coins for change. She just bought some food.

I hate Monday and I love Friday because after Friday is weekend. Feeling lazy fills my heart so often. I think this something to do with low salary that I have.

Yes, I hate my current job and want to find a new one soon. However, it is not easy to find a suitable one lately.

I miss working in the physical office. My last working stint was back in November 2020 when the company discontinued paying the internet bills monthly. That time it was very difficult to apply for a line because of the restriction. When I got approved for PLDT and got installed in April 2021, I requested for a wfh set up. Was approved. March 2020 - November 2020 -- work from home November 2020 - May 2021 -- work on-site June 2021 - present -- work from home I also miss bringing food for my team.

@jobelbojel I truly believe that wfh or a hybrid one with more wfh schedule is better than working onsite.

@allen0187 will enjoy wfh while it is being offered. Will be back soon given that we have cases still that is causing the delay for us to report onsite

Hello, do you support 4-day working policy with 12hrs working per day in a week for your job?

Yes @Philricmind, that is my work schedule now - 4 days work and 3 rest days.

@yoalldudes it is a good schedule to be honest compared to the usual 5day-2day work week.

Stay with it. I was not motivated to work yesterday but they kept sending me stuff and some of it actually was fun and had a pretty good financial day. Above average really and first couple of hours were crap. Its interesting how some days turn out.

True. I'm sticking with this job and looking for a part-time one to augment my income. Or drop this job altogether for something that pays more than this - substantially more than this.

Sometimes we get that we so tired it's natural to feel that way but you should try and do something constructive like listening to good music, talking with workmates to prevent negative thoughts. Thank God you have a job you don't love someone is busy somewhere praying for a job with even lesser pay than yours . Be grateful and work to achieve what you think will keep you satisfied

You are not satisfied with the pay of your job. Ask yourself what do you like most about your job. If you really like your job and the people, find some part-time work to augment your income. Otherwise, find a job which offers better pay.
