I am not motivated when there are too many posts.

Written by newbies who haven´t read the rules. I know that all of us do something that is not according to the rules once in a while. But is more so with newbies. When we were at school, we knew that we had to study before we took a test. Else we would have a very bad note. Today many newbies have arrived. I want to believe that they mean well and want to stay. But why is it that it is so evident that they have not taken the trouble of reading the rules? I welcome all of them. But I will be cleaning up my kitchen while they do their homework.

I take that with a grain of salt. If the post doesn't interest me, I won't read it. Pure and simple.

I agree. But the site itself will get worse if too many newbies come here the same day without reading the site rules.

@marguicha True, but admin are pretty good at catching rule breakers. I'll admit, I didn't first read the rules when I joined.

@marguicha It always gets me when their first post is, ''can I make a lot of money here?'' or want to know immediately how much money everyone makes here.

I think in the past some of us have belonged to sites that pay you by the number of reders you ttract, rather than the number of responses we make ourselves. But I agree with you, many of them do overo things. Just choose those you think may be a promising read.

@valmnz But some of us read the rules and some of us didn´t. Many old lotters send the rules so it is not as if we did not know where they are.

I trust GAA to deal with newbies who don't follow the rules. All we can do is ask them to read them. (And then ignore any posts that we aren't interested in reading.) The newbies will figure it out soon enough or they'll get frustrated and leave as quickly as they arrived.

I came here two years ago. I didn't post much at all for a long time, I just read posts. And yes, I read the rules and I still refer to them at times. If you want to be a member of a site, it's pretty important that you read the rules, you're right.

yes I noticed that but my discussion about it was deemed inapproriate as well There is a person who just posts any thought in their head and its not really a discussion.

As this is a social site, I feel that we can "talk" with some people while we are not interested in what others say. I am interested in what some people here cook but I´m not equally interested in what they think about politics. So, for me, some posts are simply not interesting. But quite another thing is to put links about earning sites. In those sites, if you sign there as a referral, you are using this site for something else.

On some sites, users cannot copy-paste till they have certain number of posts. May be a limited post control mechanism could be a good start.

I don't respond to such posts, I read them and close them. It would be better if they read the guidelines first and then post. It happens when you are new you don't know how the site works.

@sjvg1976 I know. I do wish that promotion would stop in the screen though. I was looking for air fares and now I have air fares everywhere when I´m not interested.

Usually, some are so eager just to begin they figure everything will work out eventually. I always welcome the new ones when I run across them but I also do remind them to read the rules if someone else has not already done that,

I think as you say, we are all guilty of violating the rules from time to time. I only read discussions of those I am following, then I read the title to see if it is something I want to take time to read or pass by.

I was a newbie then, but when I see a post from a newbie here, specifically when they're post is too short. I'm suggesting that they need to edit it to avoid deletion of that posts. Most of them haven't responded yet, however, I've seen tenured here that they've responded in that posts.

@marguicha I agree. I hope they'll learn more. Honestly before, I'm used not to follow the FAQ because I haven't read completely. But now, even if I've already read it, I keep on reading it because there might be new updates.
