Thanks to the actions of Superior resident A J Allard who was driving in his auto to his home on Monday evening saw a home on fire in his neighborhood. Ater A J took care of his family members to a safe place, he called the Mineral County Sheriff's Office to report the fire incident for some strange reason instead of calling the local fire department. The sheriff's officers did relay the report of the fire to the Superior Fire and EMS to have them put out the fire in the building that was on fire. Before the firefighters arrived on the scene, A J decided to risk his life and enter the burning home where he saw two persons inside of the home. Even though firefighters have warned persons never to enter a burning building in an attempt to make any rescues since they are not trained to execute rescues since they do not have the proper equipment to deal with the smoke inside the home, A J was able to save the two persons who could have been killed in the house fire out of the home safe and sound before the firefighters arrived to put out the fire. A J suffered from minor smoke inhalation. The two persons he rescued from the burning building suffered minor injuries as they were taken care of by the first responders. Mineral County Sheriff Mike Toth praised A J for his act of bravery by risking his life to enter a burning building before the firefighters arrived to put out the fire. I am sure that A J will be rewarded by city officials in the future for his act of saving two lives in a burning home.

His choice to make this effort. I don't know if I could just stand around and wait for the fire department.

@celticeagle The same here since I do not have the courage to enter building burnings myself.

Police and firemen are telling people to save themselves when in danger since they cannot always rely on them to arrive on time when an emergency happens.

@Deepizzaguy That's also true but it's hard to figure out what and how too when such situations occur.

Yes he was since most persons who run into burning buildings to do rescue mission admit that they act on courage and be willing to go for broke which is an admirable trait.

It takes a brave person to go inside a burning building. Without his help two lives would have most likely been lost. He is a brave man.
