There were several elections happening around the country yesterday. I haven't seen any real surprises or shockers except for this story coming out of Kansas. There was a referendum in that state that would have allowed lawmakers to restrict or ban access to abortion. The Republicans thought that the referendum was a slam dunk to be passed as Kansas is a heavily red state. By 7 pm last night the measure was failing with 62% of reported voters saying "no" and 38% of voters saying "yes".
This is an interesting and IMO welcome development in this national discussion about Roe v Wade. It shows that the nation is absolutely fired up about the issue and that both women AND men have strong feelings on the issue.

I was actually surprised by how strong of a reaction that this got. Everyone has an opinion and it's one of the few issues going on that seems to be the case in.

@luisga814 You surely know nothing about what they wanted to do. A woman who is raped, or a woman who risks to die because of complication MUST be allowed to decide what to do and not the legislators.
