Iceland volcano is erupting (safely but magnificently)

Yesterday (or today depending on your time zone) lava finally made its appearance where there have been a lot of earthquakes indicating magma movement into dikes (horizontal sheets of magma that will erupt as a fissure eruption.) Icelandic Meteorological Office had been saying it would probably erupt soon, and nearby where last year's eruption was. It has not disappointed. Why is it safe? It's in between two mountains so the lava won't go near people unless the people come near it. Currently, adults are allowed to park a long way away and hike to see the eruption-- I believe the hike is 17 km, because they have closed a few parking lots nearer by. Anyway, here is a livestream so you can see the magnificence of lava fountains and a big field of glowing lava! Would you like to go see it with your own eyes? I would, but maybe I'm strange that way.

I would like to see that in person too, but I wouldn't want to walk that far to see it. Thanks for sharing the video.

Last time it was much easier to hike to, apparently. I wasn't there.

I'd probably give it a miss!! But maybe I'm the one that's strange.

I would to see lava flowing out of a volcano in person since the closest I have ever seen is on television documentaries and news reports.
