At times during our life we have circumstances beyond our control. Some are nice surprises and others very shocking sad things. Many times I have wanted to give up! I am 71 and I feel very blessed but it has not been easy and not without struggles. I feel that sometimes we get stronger and work harder after we have been knocked down or hurt. It is not easy but always remember that Today is The First Day of The Rest of Your Life! Never to late to start over xoxo

Yes today is a new day. It is usually always a chance to start anew and for that I am grateful. I always thank God that I have lived another day.

@RebeccasFarm Yes. Everyday we should thank God that we're still here, alive and blessed.

That's very true... I've been there and started over before... I'm a day or two younger than you, but I understand.

@Ganma7 Not always pleasant, but sometimes necessary. I've been divorced twice, so two new beginnings.

Yes, life is like day and night and we have to wait for the day for the bad nights to pass. Yes, it's never to late to start again.

That's well known said. If I'm not mistaken, I've heard that dialogue to one of the movies I've watched but I'm not sure what movie is that?

What a boring life would be without its struggles? People from different walks of life have different struggles. I have friends who I hear complaining and saying they wish they live like this certain person so they don't have to have problems. What they don't know is that that particular person has his or her own struggles. Just different from the ones we have. Most important thing is, we don't give up and we overcome those hurdles in life and be content of what we have finally achieved.

Everyday is a new day to embrace what life may give us, lest we'll be thankful for the gift of life. Circumstances to whatever kind may block our way or save us from a circumstantial happening.

The picture you included in your post is awesome, as is the sentiment! I am 60 years old and, though I've had a good life, I want to be productive in some way well into the rest of my life. Thank you for sharing!

@Ganma7 Thank you for sharing that. I just turned 72 and inside feel it very much. I have started over many times in my life from when I have moved from my parents house to an apartment for me in the States and coming to live in Israel and all the moves I have done here so it is not much fun and now I have a cat that I have to make sure we can find a place that will accept her and that is not easy. There are people that do not even like to rent to people with children let alone animals.
