Lusaka is always fun!

August 5, 2022 4:10am CST
These past few days I went to the capital city of Zambia, Lusaka. I went to the immigration services and I got my spousal permit. Yay! It’s for two years. There was a little hiccup when they were explaining the rules of the permit and said I couldn’t work with it. That was confusing as I was informed before hand that I could. But actually I can hold a work permit simultaneously, not work only having the spousal one. So that was a relief, especially because I like doing things by the book and I like to be clear on the rules. I love Lusaka. We always have a good time considering all of our closest friends live there. It was nice catching up and just enjoying each other’s company. Was able to visit the Chinese market and have my favorite noodles. All in all , amazing couple of days.

@marlina my previous city in China had around 9 million so Lusaka seems small lol not as crowded.

I wondered if we'd scared you off of myLot in some way. I'm glad you were having a nice time with your friends.

I’m married to a Zambian citizen and I’m living in Zambia. Spousal permit is a residence permit issued on the fact of the marriage. Means I can legally live in Zambia for the next two years.

@Greencindere why just for two years? Do they think that marriages last for two years?

@sjvg1976 hahahah I dunno to be honest. I can renew it one more time (another two years) and then apply for permanent residence if we decide we want to stay here.

I never heard of Lusaka. I heard Serbia is a good country as my employer owns a company there. And many of the workers go there and they appreciate the country when return.

Thank you. Yeah Serbia will always be my home but I’m lucky to be able to build homes away from home. Glad you heard positive things about Serbia.
