Baguio City is a 1st class highly urbanized city in northern Luzon in the Philippines. Baguio City was established by the Americans in 1900 and created by the Philippine Assembly as the Summer Capital of the Philippines on June 1, 1903. There is a presidential mansion, and supreme court and legislative offices in Baguio. Additionally, Baguio is the seat of government of the Cordillera Administrative Region. The name of the city is derived from the word bagiw in Ibaloi, the indigenous language of the Benguet Region, meaning 'moss'. The city is at an altitude of approximately 1500 meters (5100 feet) in a moist tropical pine forest environment that is conducive to the growth of many mossy plants and orchids. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 252,386 in 52,302 households. I suggest you visit this place!

baguio's famous lion - baguio's famous lion
I love baguio city, my siblings and I live in Manila which is roughly 8 hours drive away but my parents used to have a business there and will take us there every weekend. Our favorite place to hang-out is the Wright Park where we can ride horses until our bottoms are sore. Next will be Camp John Hay their hotdogs and ice creams are the best, also we love to play mini-golf there. I attached a picture of the Lion which can be found on one corner of the Zigzag roads of Kenon. Too bad Baguio is not as pretty as it used to be, a lot of tourists leave their picnic bags and other stuff on the ground and most of the mountain are filled with little houses so the view is ruined. Most of the pine trees are gone that is why it's a little warm during the day.
