Waking Up in Reno(2002)comedy/romance drama.Starring Natasha Richardson,Billy Bob Thornton, Patrick Swayze, and Charlize Theron. Plot Summary:In the movie Lonnie Earl(Billy Bob Thornton)and Darlene(Natasha Richardson) have been married but their marriage is drifting apart. Candy(Charlize Theron) and Lonnie Earl are having a secret affair.Roy(Patrick Swayze) and Candy are two newlyweds trying to conceive a baby to strengthen their also shaky relationship.The four of them decides to take a vacation from their Little Rock, Arkansas home to travel to a monster truck show in Reno, Nevada.That's when the secrets unravel and comes to light and the biggest one being that Lonnie Earl and Candy have been sleeping together, and now Candy is pregnant with his child.I would go on but then I'd be giving the whole story to you. Anyway,the reason I chose this movie because one is Charlize Theron is one of my favorite actress and two I was in the mood for a light comedy drama. I like all 4 of the talented leading actors a lot but the movie didn't really turned out to be great with no likeable characters really,the lying,cheating,greed,but in the end loving the best friends you betray.It just didn't seem all that great.I did have a few laugh at one scene on the Monster truck show later on in the film.
