My Portrait of Taz: Background Finished!

The portrait looks a lot different from the last time I showed it to you! At this point, the background has been fully developed, or at least as fully as it's going to be - I'm not planning to paint it in any greater detail, as I don't want it to detract from Taz. He's the star! You may notice that in the process of working out the final version of the cupboard on the left, the painting has kind of "worn away" the left side of Taz's body. That's no problem at all; as I mentioned in the first installment, I build a painting from the back to the front, so it's easy enough to just paint Taz's body back over it. You will also see that I have added a lot more paint to Taz while completing the background. At this stage, I am starting to create a "roadmap" of paint to follow the markings and features of Taz, because the layering process will eventually result in the surface of the canvas becoming completely covered, obscuring the original drawing. When that occurs, I still want to have guidelines to follow. Hope you enjoyed this installment! The next one is going to be a bit weird-looking, but don't worry, I'll explain later.
