This morning, I cleared some of the stuff in my desk cabinet. I found my autograph book.
In our times, near graduation from high school, students passed around autograph books for classmates and teachers to sign and write inspiring or friendship messages. I read the book. It's filled with poems, drawings, friendship messages, and small pieces of verse, bringing back all the beautiful memories of those days. I'm not sure if students still use autograph books now.
Are autograph books common in your place? Do you have one?

Yes, when I read the book again today, it brought back all the good memories of those school days. I'm still keeping in touch with some of the classmates and teachers.

@sica98 I just have contact with two teachers who are pretty old now. We exchange greetings cards and I would give them a call wishing them well during Chinese New Year.

@Beestring I remember when I left a company the boss wrote "Pen is mightier than the sword" He was referring to my resignation letter.

No, this is not an autograph of famous people. Student autograph books are just for teachers and classmates to sign and write messages.

Years ago, when I was in High School, we passed around our year book for people to sign and write encouraging messages in for us to look back at over the years.

Year book is similar to what we call Autograph book. Are you still keeping it?

We call it different name but I forgot what it was. I still have mine but a small notebook. I asked my classmates to sign before HS graduation.
College was not that memorable because of so much work and study.

I had one back when I was elementary school and when I graduated high school. Although I didn't actually have anyone sign the one from high school. But people did sign my yearbook.

It was a big deal in high school to pass around your yearbook (autograph book) to classmates to sign the final week of school before we officially graduated. I'm sure the tradition continues on today in U.S. schools.
