Wait A Minute!

Yarn Swift and Yarn Cake Winder
United States
August 30, 2022 10:41pm CST
I've been on a badly needed "cleaning" kick the past few days. Throwing away old mail. Moving furniture around. Throwing away stuff that I no longer use nor need. Earlier today, I got the bright idea to sell my craft/drawing table. I no longer use it as a drawing table. (I bought the table so that I could have a nice flat surface for the drawing projects in the theater stagecraft class.) Then I thought, "Wait a minute! That is the only surface that my yarn swift and yarn winder can be used on!" So, I guess I'm not going to sell my table. Whew! I'm glad I changed my mind!

You won't believe how handy that table will be! Not only will it be handy for your yarn swift and winder, but you will find tons of other uses for it too. If you decided to sell it and then want another one you would probably pay triple what you get for the one you have!!! I speak from experience from replacing some of the things I lost in 2017.

The table wasn't cheap but I was able to get it with a nice-sized coupon.

@bluerubymoon53 I don't get the really good coupons, so I am kind of careful about what I sell off. I was lucky to get the dining table and chairs from a man friend of mine and my overstuffed rocker at a thrift shop for $5. My bed was the expensive item, but I had the funds to buy it. I have a bunch of smaller items that, when my ankle is better, I am going to sort out and donate to charity. They aren't worth selling and I can't have a yard sale at the apartment I live in.

I know that feeling when I want to get rid of items inside the home that I want to sell but realize that a small table that is going to be used so I can place my food to eat is more valuable.

That is so true. I would not have been a very happy person if I had gone through with selling the table.

You're so right, it's like the woven foot stool I have. I was going to get rid of it but it's handy for storage and I use it to prop my ankle and leg on while they heal.

I have some hanks of yarn that I need to get wound. My other tables don't have a flat surface to where the swift and winder could be securely attached.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of finding other uses for stuff that I would otherwise have to get rid of!
