Good morning to all. Today it's Sunday of September 11, 2022 here in the Philippines. Currently it's 7:58am. A while ago, when we go to the market to buy some basic needs (foods from today up to the next salary will come), I was standing in one of the corners of the market while waiting to my wife. I'm eating salt bread (pandesal) with a soda. I bought 5 salt bread in front of the bank. Then, I'm already eating the 2nd salt bread when an old woman asked for a little penny for her food to eat. I have no pennies in my pocket. I decided to gave her my remaining 3 salt bread. She accepted the salt bread with a smile. While she walks away, I saw her, ate the one of the salt breads and the other two she put in her small bag. I don't know how it feels that it doesn't matter how small you gave as long as it's comes from your heart that's already good. Can you share something about doing small charitable work you did?

When I was working, I often gave the money I make on myLot each month to someone who needs it. Lately, Pretty and I need that money ourselves so I've stopped giving it away. I'm hoping I will get disability soon so I can start giving the money from myLot to those who need it again. It makes me feel good when I can help people who need the help.

@DaddyEvil That's good to know. I hope you can get your disability pension soon so that you can start giving to those in need again.

That was too kind of you Luis. I have shared some dollars with a woman also on the street living there long ago. She had no teeth and was very old ..and she was grateful.

@RebeccasFarm Yes. Although, I can't share an amount match with a dollar, however, that 3 salt bread is equivalent to Php 6.00 ($0.11) only.

That was very good of you to give away your food. We donate items to a charity here in town.

@Kandae11 Yes. That's why I'm only used to provide some sort of foods instead of coins.

@Kandae11 as much as I've wanted to provide them coins, I've seen that will not be helpful for them due to low value of our currency.

It always feels good to be able to help others. Although there are professional beggars, seeing old or handicapped people asking for alms still pulls on our heartstrings. You can either ignore them and feel guilty or drop a few coins and say to yourself "my good deed for today".

@josie_ I agree that there's professional beggars out there also. But it's hard to predict about them.
