Everything has changed here. No hard and fast rule about what to eat for breakfast lunch or dinner anything goes as long as the food is nutritious and tasty. This pudding was made last night. It was caramelized bread pudding - forgot to click a photo before eating. This time it was perfect. I learnt my lesson The eggs here are small and so for every cup of milk I used to add an egg but this time I added one more egg in the lot. The results were satisfactory. I steamed the pudding Do you steam or bake? Do you also eat odd stuff now and then?

There is a grocery store here in town that has a large pan of bread pudding in the deli area. Sometimes, I will get a nice big piece of it. The best is when the pudding is moist. I don't like it when it is dry. Once in a while, I will ask for some caramel to be drizzled on top.

Oh wow, I wish I had some bread pudding right now! I cook a usual breakfast for my husband, but I like most anything or even nothing at all.

I like bread pudding, I bake it. I add raisins and a very little drop of rum.

I had cashewnuts and raisins and I found two fresh apricots in the fridge. I added them too. Actually I break brad pieces roughly and layer them with the egg/milk/sugar mix. It turns out good. Next time I will add rum

@allknowing I do the same, I break bread pieces and layer with egg/milk/sugar mix, a little rum and the raisins. Good idea to add the apricots. I have some dried apricots that need to be used.

I eat odd stuff all the time LOL We used to eat bread puddiing often, but haven't had any for a while now, must make it again! We bake it, sometimes in a bain marie.

@Fleura That water must be keeping the stuff moist.

What is bain marie? I prefer steaming as it stays moist.

@allknowing It's a hot water bath. In this context it means standing the pudding dish inside another larger dish filled with water (so it comes about half-way up the side of the pudding dish) and then putting the whole lot in the oven.
