Dewdrops

September 19, 2022 1:46pm CST
Can you make a guess what those green stalks are? The dewdrops made the sparkles, like diamonds and pearls. I just thought that I'd share this little time with nature with you during an early morning walk. Well, someone had an early start of the day last Winter--G.A. Henty caught the dew droplets on camera before mid morning came. The blue background was our kitchen window on the East side of the house. Guess what the green stalks are? Have a bright and beautiful day! (Photo: GA Henty Photography Copyright)

That's very pretty. Dewdrops look lovely on bushes and plants. This is one of my favourite photos, taken by my husband, of one of our native wildflowers. Actually, it's not dewdrops on the plants but a sticky substances which traps flowers. but I thought you'd enjoy the photo anyway.

@everwonderwhy Tiny insects stick to the gluey stuff and the plant then consumes them. Sometimes the tiny petals curve over the insect and trap it as well.

That's a marvelous picture, @JudyEv I'm curious about the sticky substances covering that type of flower.

@CarolDM Thank you. I worked last night at the front bench. Pizza basing, though easy to do,( no brainer work, which I love about it) makes my neck, upper back and shoulder arms ache. Repetetive fast motion for 3 1/2hours.

@RebeccasFarm Why are you planning to shorten your already short hair? A hairdresser's chair and having a haircut is quite relaxing. How are you?

What a lovely photo. They look like either some sort of tree limbs or grass blades.

Thanks. Good to see you @Nakitakona They're pine needles. I thought at first look, they were young bamboo stalks.
