Giving me hmmmmm

So because I’m a writer if you tell me hmmm I should automatically know what you mean. Well hate to break it to anyone but if you give me humm and I question you about why the humm and you give me sass I’ll sass I’ll sass you back. Yes I clearly know that hmm is a human expression but that doesn’t mean when you just say hmmm when commenting to someone they I’m automatically going to know what the hmmm is for. Hmm can mean many things, or can be you thinking, a sound, you agreeing about something. With no context it’s kind of like giving someone a ? Leaving they person to determine what you the questions is. I’m far from a mind reader. I can read my husband mind but everyone else nope.
