Back to normal…

It has been a few years since covid and I feel like things are back to normal except for the face masks. People are out and about flying out of the country, going to malls, booking at hotels and just doing things they have not done for the past few years. How time flies. I can still remember how it was the first time where people cannot go out. People buying masks and alcohol like crazy. But look now at how things have changed. Some took this as an opportunity to rise up and start something for themselves. While some may have figured out how much their family meant to them. So many things learned and unlearned but the bottom line is we all survived it one way or another. As we all go back to how things are what have you gained from this experience? Did you finally grasp who are important to you? And how do we step forward and be better versions of ourselves.

The Corona didn't really make a big dent in my work, as I work on line I had even more students! The parents wanted their children to be occupied so I taught a lot of English. I still have some masks for when I go out and someone is coughing. I slap it on!

Wow you are lucky to be working from home and to get additional students. Wish I had something to do aside from taking care of my kids. I really wanted to try that out but I was scared I would not have enough time to do so.

@sublime03 I am not saying that it is easy to do on-line teaching, every day I have different students and different material to teach them. I am now reading up on United States history because I have a student who is quite advanced, and the book that he is studying has some pretty big holes not covering important subjects.

I have changed in these 2 years. And yesterday I found out that one of my friends had passed away since I last saw her. I was not informed. My friends have been shrinking.

Sorry to hear you lost a friend. I myself have lost a few and wished I was able to meet them before but the pandemic did not give me the chance to do so. It made me more appreciative of the friends I still have.

I find that life is worth living and we should cherish and keep our daily lives as healthy as possible. Be happy today as tomorrow is not promised to all of us.

That is a good outlook in life which we all should have. Looking at life in a positive way and taking life one day at a time. Being grateful for each single day and for the people surrounding you.

@sublime03 That’s right. That’s the best thing we can do for ourselves.

What kind of job are you aiming for? And what kind of restrictions do you have now? I hope you find a job that you will like despite some restrictions.
