This is my second year to homeschool to of my kids and I have to say it takes alot of effort to do everything. I now have more appreciation for the educators. I spend alot of hours to come up with good activities for my kids to enjoy while learning their school work.

If you come up with activities that your children enjoy than you are doing a good job teaching them.

Hoping I really am doing a good job. I always question how effective my teaching style is. Homeschool is challenging but rewarding.

@jstory07 That is the number one reason I still homeschooled them. For them to be safe especially that they get sick fast and I feel bad if they still need to wear a mask inside the classroom.

You'll surely learn something from your kids homeschooling. Enjoy with them.

Indeed I will. I have learned so much from last year that I am half ready and half not. This year will be a bit more challenging but hopefully I get to accomplish what is needed.

I am sure you must be doing a good job teaching your kids. Teaching needs a lot of patience which unfortunately I dont have.

I guess I do have alot of patience. Just managing what activities to make them do is time consuming. I guess when you get to the point of what will be good for your kids you’ll do anything for them.

I homeschooled them last year because of the pandemic. For this school year, I was concerned that my kids wouldn’t keep their masks on the whole time at school. So I decided I would homeschool them one more year so I can slowly transition them to going to a big school and hopefully by that time they do not need to wear masks already.

It takes a lot of efforts, planning and dedication for teachers to educate our kids.

I definitely agree. The amount of time and effort they have on a daily basis. I understand it more now how you really have to have the passion to teach.

Homeschooling is a lot of effort if you want to do it well. Glad that you are doing it and you understand that being an educator is not easy. I homeschooled my younger daughter till she was 13 using Waldorf curriculum. Now she would be 16 and is in a regular Pre University college.

Yes I definitely got challenged last year and struggled a bit. But it just takes a lot of effort in our part as parents to do our very best to homeschool them. So nice to hear from somebody who has done it as well.

@sublime03 I am an educator also.So my professional experience did help a lot. Also being a part of group of parents who homeschooled their children helped. There was so much to share and learn.
