Crying as an expression of happiness or sadness

When do you usually cry? When you're only sad or also when you're happy? Does crying only express sadness? I cried yesterday because one of the members of my favorite pop band, Jin of BTS is enlisting in the military army of his country South Korea. All abled males are mandated to serve in the military for 2 years. BTS is at the height of its popularity and they could bring, more honor and contribute significantly to the Korean economy, but they opted to enlist instead. Jin made a song with Coldplay, the British band, to gift their fans, ARMY, a song saying he loves his fans. He performed the song with Coldplay in Buenos Aires and an MV was released. Here's the official video. I felt mixed emotions as I was watching and before I knew it, tears were streaming down my face. I'm not sure why I cried. I may have felt sad because he was saying goodbye temporarily, but I felt happy as well because he made a song specifically for us, fans. It was heartwarming to know how much they love their fans. Did you ever cry when you were happy? What are your thoughts on this? Here's the video, of that song dedicated to fans. The little girl represents ARMY, BTS' fans. I agree...one can never predict what one's response is gonna be in certain situations.

I can't remember ever crying because I was happy...only when I'm sad.
