So Proud of Americans

I was really worried that the elections were going to be what the Republicans had threatened they would be. But, alas, The Red Wave met The Blue Wall and Republicans are still reeling from the effects. Too bad about the House tho. I am so relieved to learn that Americans aren't going to listen to those who go on about vampires and werewolves or pledge that Republicans will never have to vote again if they vote for him in Wisconsin. Oh, my gosh! So glad all of that is over. Americans are smart and see the threat of the right taking away our rights. But, then look at Kari Lake. She doesn't have the decency to concede and do the right thing. Now she is trying to get a new vote going there in Arizona for governor. She even had the nerve to say that she just knows no Arizonians would vote for Katie Hobbs so obviously the vote was crooked. We may never know who will be the governor of Arizona or the senator in Georgia. At least not until mid-December. Are you happy with the outcome in your state? I'm not. I live in a die-hard red state and have all the Republicans in office here. Ugh! I try to ignore it but the red just won't go away.

Just what I wanted. More inflation, a looming recession that will now become a certain one, mass layoffs and unemployment, massive interest rates so that every American can be bankrupt, hell...we might even actually see WWIII. Great job America is right. We so longed to be Venezuela and now we might actually achieve it. Make sure the dog is well fed. Fido is going to need to be dinner one night.

@porwest ...........What happened to calling us 'the right? We aren't pathetic. The fact that you don't realize that after the first of the year the new act(The Inflation Reduction Act) will come into effect. Pretty pathetic. Also, the inflation we are experiencing is not Biden's or the democrat's fault. It is due to the Ukrain war and COVID. It has an international effect, not just here in the US. Happy holidays.

The Democrats used a very risky strategy during the primaries. They actually put money to support the MAGA election denier crazies like Doug Mastriano, Kari Lake, Blake Masters, some Bouldoc guy too, etc. knowing that Trump-loving Republicans would vote for them in the primary but that they would repulse moderate Republicans and independent voters in the general election. It was a risky plan but it worked because none of them other than JD Vance actually won.

I am in California, in the Bay Area--so I am in a more liberal area. So, I am happier than if I were living in a bright red state for sure.

Probably more up-to-date there too. Here we are very behind the times.

Exactly. Funny how 90 minutes from me there are more blue kids than red but where I live, no. This is why we are having Dem folks over hopefully tomorrow.

Don't hold it against me, but I voted Republican. The thought of what the Democrats want in this state sickens me.

@celticeagle My parents were democrats, and my sister and brother are. I heard it from my dad every time a republican got into office. I'm not republican, I'm independent. I've voted for many democrats I thought did a good job in office. That's not the case now.

All of the Republicans on our ballot won. Not one Democrat was elected. :-(

All Republicans on our ballot here won too. I didn't even wonder about it. It is a gibbon for my area.

Sadly right now the state here is red. I was hoping it would flip to blue this time.
