In 1839 the opera "Obrto Conte di San Bonifacio", by Giuseppe Verdi premiered in Milan, Italy In 1842 the opera Linda di Chamounix by Gaetano Donizetti was produced in London, England In 1866 the opera Mignon by Ambroise Thomas premiered at the Opera Comique in Paris, France In 1876 the patriotic Slavonic March by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky premiered in Moscow, Russia In 1966 The Beach Boys were at number one on the UK singles chart with “Good Vibrations” When Brian Wilson was little, his mom told him dogs could pick up vibrations from people and would bark at bad vibrations. Thus an inspiration for this song. In 1971 Slade were at number one on the UK Singles chart with “Coz I Luv You” it was the group’s first of six number ones. In 1984 Wham! Were at number one on the UK Album chart with Make It Big and at number one on the US Singles chart with “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go” In 2007 The Eagles were at number one on the US Album chart with Long Road Out of Eden. It was their seventh album and their first since 1979 .

@RasmaSandra Yes I recall that one alright Sandra And then I saw Mott the Hoople loved them!! The one I really wish I could have seen would have been Marc Bolan of T Rex.

That’s too much opera for me. I like Slade. Noddy Holder (their lead singer) is one REALLY COOL name!

@LadyDuck what it is, is that everything on the net has to be checked. I learned that particularly today. It said Tancid by Bartok premiered. Now I have heard about the composer but not the composition, So I checked Guess what? It is not Tancid but Dance Suite

@xFiacre not so much into opera I am more into musical but there are certain operas I do enjoy and one is La Traviata I go crazy for that music and the arias,
