Busy as a bee

I’ve been as busy as the bee seen here harbourside in Melbourne, Victoria and this is my first post in a couple of days. We’re staying in a very nice hotel but it is quite a walk to our son’s place. We’ve now worked out the tram system which has save a lot of walking.
We clocked up our 10,000 steps the first two days and another 7,000 yesterday which won’t hurt us a bit. Today is our last full day here and will mostly be taken up cooking some meals to be frozen for later. Before we did that, I had to defrost the freezer.
We’ve cleaned up the little back porch and a kerbside pickup today should take care of a lot of the rubbish that we’re cleaned out of the place. I haven’t taken a lot of photos but I’ll pinch some of Vince’s to share with you over the next few days.

It sounds like a working visit, but I am sure it is wonderful.

It doesn't sound like you're having too much fun but I'm glad you're able to help your son out. Looking forward to pictures when you have time to snitch them from Vince for us.

@JudyEv I understand. One of my brothers had mental issues and needed help from time to time to sort out things he didn't need in his house. (He passed away at the beginning of the pandemic.)
I'm glad you have the time to go and help your son once in a while.

@DaddyEvil I'm sorry about your brother. Helping with tasks is bonding for us all and helpful for him.

We did other-than-housework stuff too and we were happy with our time there. He had made a real effort to consider what we might like to do apart from helping with chores.

@aninditasen No, it's a four hour flight and he doesn't have much money. He doesn't like to be away from home either. He has a few mental issues and is most comfortable in his own surroundings.

I know the powers-that-be whoever they are say you should do 10,000 steps a day but that's a lot of steps unless it's kind of forced on you. We weren't really as tired as we expected to be but we did sleep well! lol
